I am 19 weeks pregnant I have an infected nail, my finger is hot and throbbing the bed of the nail is darker than usual and has white spots towards the bottom of my nail bed. I have an appt with my dr tomorrow but I am worried that it could harm my unbron child? What do you think is going on

Lauren,

sounds like you may have an infection in your finger. Sometimes a hang nail will become infected and cause a localized cellulitis like you describe. Your doctor will probably put you on antibiotics for it tomorrow. Keep it clean and dry in the mean time.

This is not going to affect your baby - do not worry about that.

it is normal for you to feel that way.

however, your circulatory system and the baby's circulatory system are independent. It would take a massive infection in you to affect the baby.
